Legislative Issues Print E-mail

From city hall to the General Assembly, AED is on top of government decisions that affect Arkansas's economic future. It brings members together to form an influential and united voice on economic development issues. It is the intent of the Arkansas Economic Developers to endorse and provide active support of those issues and proposals designed to enhance economic growth. We have successfully supported full funding for ADED, continuing the designation of enterprise zones, incentives for new industry and expansion of existing companies.

AED monitors issues of significance to economic developers in the state. It gathers data generated by legislative activities surrounding economic development, analyzes and summarizes that information, and disseminates the information to AED members for consideration and/or calls to action.

More information about legislative issues can be found by visiting the Governmental Affairs section of the website of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/AIA . During the legislative session, bills of importance to developers and businesses are tracked and online reports on legislative issues are updated daily as their status changes.
